Who We Are
Project Illuminae is a faith-based organization devoted to revitalizing congregational worship through the transformative power of sacred music. We specialize in performing and teaching sacred repertoire that inspires, educates, and enriches congregational singing. Illuminae, meaning “the radiant ones” in Latin, captures the essence of our mission. Through artistic excellence, scholarship, and spiritual formation, Project Illuminae endeavors to strengthen the diverse Christian community by illuminating the beauty, depth, and theological richness of worship within sacred spaces both nationally and internationally.
Who We Serve
Project Illuminae is dedicated to supporting church congregations and diverse ministries that desire renewal in worship but may lack the musical resources, training, or support to strengthen their congregational music ministry. We partner especially with small or under-resourced churches, communities navigating transition, and congregations seeking to deepen their understanding and practice of sacred music. Because many of the communities we serve have limited resources, we are committed to making our ministry accessible through flexible, donation-based, or subsidized programming.
What We Do
At Project Illuminae, we believe sacred music is more than artistry; it is a conduit of grace that awakens the heart and draws the worshiping community into a deeper encounter with God. Our mission is to restore the joy of congregational singing and to infuse worship with renewed vitality. Through performances, hymn festivals, workshops, and collaborative ministry, we shine light on the breadth and depth of the sacred musical tradition – helping congregations encounter the presence of God through singing.
